I had no idea what this place was. I had just eaten and was walking with my friend when she pointed this place out said she wanted to eat here because it's famous. Since we just ate we didn't get a lot of food. The servers were pretty good and fast. The food and drinks were good. The restaurant itself felt a little tight and crowded, but not as bad as other places, it had nuts space than the place we had just left. You can buy take home kits here. We didn't, but if i lived in Thailand I would.

This historic flagship location is incredibly popular, so expect a very long queue upon arrival. While I found the signature Pad Thai to be somewhat standard, my partner absolutely loved it. For me, the absolute highlight of the meal was their fresh mandarin orange juice—it is exceptionally high quality and a must-order if you visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-visit for Pad Thai lovers! I had an absolutely amazing experience at Thipsamai! Even though we arrived quite late—around 9 PM—we still had to take a number and queue up outside. Honestly, seeing the crowd at that hour only confirmed that we were in for something special, and it was entirely worth the wait. The food is phenomenal. Our group ordered the signature Pad Thai with prawns wrapped in egg and the Siam Royal. The noodles had the perfect texture, and the seasoning was incredibly well-balanced. You also absolutely cannot skip their famous orange juice—it’s super fresh with generous bits of pulp and perfectly refreshing. Despite being packed, the restaurant has a surprisingly cool and airy atmosphere, making it a very comfortable place to dine. On top of that, the staff is fantastic—super enthusiastic, welcoming, and efficient, even during the late-night rush. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Bangkok. Don't let the queue deter you; it moves reasonably fast and the meal is 100% worth it!

the fried noodle is excellent! very tasty and authentic thai style. and the best of the best was, choice of "no noodle" version available. so that i could enjoy my low carbs option here with my friends having big big bites of the rice noodles. but the seat and service was so-so, feel that don't have enough manpower to serve the eager customers. the location isn't easy too. seems calling grab would be the best way.

This is the most famous Pad Thai in Thailand (at least for me). 🇹🇭🔥 When you walk in — or even just wait in the queue — you’ll hear all kinds of languages around you. People from everywhere. Very few Thai customers, actually. That alone shows how much of a destination Thipsamai has become. And this branch is just a few steps away from the legendary Jay Fai, so the whole area feels like a food pilgrimage spot. Thipsamai is all about Pad Thai. No complicated menu — just different variations of Pad Thai, and that’s it. The taste has stayed consistent over the years, but the portion has definitely gotten smaller. To keep the price the same, they reduced the serving size. A few years ago, one plate used to fill me up so much I could barely finish it. Now? I can finish easily and still have space left for side dishes or dessert. The staff here are super friendly, and some can speak multiple languages — so if you’re a tourist, communication won’t be a problem at all. The atmosphere is lively and warm, with people from all over the world enjoying their plate of Pad Thai. So if you want to try the most famous Pad Thai in Thailand, Thipsamai is the place. (Of course, taste is subjective — there are many great Pad Thai spots with their own styles — but Thipsamai is definitely the most iconic.) Enjoy! 🥢✨
