Aey Seafood is a great spot if you’re looking for fresh seafood at affordable prices. They offer a wide selection including river prawns, mantis prawns, crab and other seafood. The mantis prawn is definitely worth ordering . Very meaty with only a minimal layer of batter, which helps preserve its natural freshness and flavour. Don’t expect a fancy dining atmosphere. It’s more of a simple local seafood place, but the dishes are flavourful, authentic, and satisfying. Food preparation can take a little while after ordering, and the service could be improved, but the quality of the seafood makes the visit worthwhile. The restaurant attracts a mix of locals and tourists, which says a lot about its popularity.

The scallops are to die for. A must order everytime in my opinion. This is my second time there, and it’s as good as the first time. Ordered the deep fried sea bass this time instead of the popular steamed fish, and it was amazing. The fish was deep fried to perfection. Compared to typical fried fish, where the whole fish is deep fried, they cut out the fish chunks first before deep frying the pieces separately. This ensures that you really get deep fried goodness and consistency throughout. Aey seafood is definitely a place I want to visit every time I’m in Bangkok.
The food was fantastic. We started with scallops with garlic and butter, still in the shell. The scallops were cooked perfectly and not overwhelmed with seasoning. We then had tom yum soup with shrimp which was well balanced with heat and sour. Next we had stir fried cabbage with fish sauce and deep fried fish with fish sauce. The fish was crunchy yet moist and despite being deep fried, did not feel heavy or oily. One of the best meals we had in Bangkok.
Every time we come to Bangkok, this will always be our must-go restaurant. You can find cheap and good food here. Deep fried fish and steamed fish 👍👍👍 fresh, good and super worth it!
