Tom Yum Kung

En un coup d'œil

- Great spot - Pleasant atmosphere unlike many others - Good prices for nice ambience - Potential try to scam for more money / overcharge the bill However, what stopped me from giving 5* is that they tried to overcharge me for 500+. Apparently a mistake (maybe it was I don’t know) but weird part is only that line item in the bill wasn’t in English. Very unusual and looked like a scam that if it works, it works. A bit disappointing honestly having everything was nice and it got ruined by that. So be very careful not to be scammed.
We had a dinner with 3 persons. We ordered restaurant special Tom Yum soup. Service was very friendly and helpful. They kindly asked and negotiated about the menue and specially about the spicy level. Medium level spicy was very tasteful.
Great place to step back from the chaos while still being in the heart of it all. Loved watching people walk down Khao San Road while we ate. Delicious food, good service, and the DJ was awesome!
Sat on the Khaosan road where it’s all market stalls so not tooo much traffic outside. Playing chilled music and you can eat in the open air / semi inside. I had the signature dish Tom yum Kung with shrimp (prawns). Medium spicy. 5 large prawns in the dish. Has left me tingling nicely.
Went here twice in my trip to Thailand and it was one of the best restaurants I visited, delicious food, great atmosphere with cool music, and great service from all personnel, specially Vow who always remembers everybody’s orders. Prices are moderate but feels cheap for the excellent quality of the food. Also great location in the beginning of Khaosan Road. Definitely will come here in my next visit to Thailand!
