Slightly surreal being the first and only customer at 12.30 pm on a Tuesday lunchtime. The place can seat 450 people, so I arrived there anticipating a lunchtime rush! I was shown to a table and opted for the buffet at 350 THB. A freshly made, buttered naan bread was brought to the table which was delicious and I set about seeing what was at the buffet. There were several vegetarian dishes present and after about ten minutes a chicken jalfrezi was added although that was the only non vegetarian dish I saw whilst there. One of the staff informed me that a party of 200 were due at 1pm so maybe they were holding back for them? Anyway, I had three platefuls of delicious food and couldn't eat another thing. The Bombay potatoes were soft and spiced, the tadka Dal was extremely tasty as was the chicken jalfrezi and everything else I had was lovely. I'd definitely return but probably a bit later in the day when everything is up and running. The staff were very pleasant, even though I was the sole guest for over half an hour.
Excellent Indian food in Bangkok! The taste is authentic, the quality of the food is outstanding, and every dish is full of rich Indian flavors. The staff is friendly, attentive, and provides great service. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for families and friends. Highly recommend the butter chicken, naan, and biryani. A must-visit place for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine in Bangkok! Thank you, India Gate Restaurant, for a wonderful dining experience. Good restaurant for Punjabi Indian food They serve buffet, service and atmosphere is okay. Suggestion : Add one local Thai dish in buffet options.
