Dusit Zoo is Thailand's oldest zoo, housing over 2,000 animals from Thailand and around the world. Located in Bangkok's Khao Din Park, the zoo features enjoyable attractions for the whole family, including a sightseeing train, animal shows, a zoo museum and education centre, and play land with kid-friendly rides. Dusit Zoo is one of the best zoological facilities in Southeast Asia, with most of the animals housed in enclosures, rather than cages.
The exhibits are labeled in both Thai and English, and include monkeys, elephants, alligators, tigers, penguins, camels, wallabies, kangaroos and many other animals. In addition to seeing the animals, you can also take a paddle boat out on the lake, or bring a picnic to enjoy under the trees. If picnics aren't your thing, you can also find a variety of meals at the food centre, and there are kiosks selling water and ice cream throughout the zoo.
