Mayflower
Bangkok
Situated in the grand Dusit Thani next to historical Lumpini Park, The Mayflower delivers food on a par with the luscious location.
A luxurious interior that combines European design with traditional Chinese antiques such as carved wooden screens and porcelain vases creates an elegant atmosphere. The dining room can seat 120 people, but doesn't feel crowded. Six private rooms are also available if you desire a bit of extra privacy or wish to entertain a group.
There is a selection of set menus and an a la carte menu as well as a superb set of 50 dim sum treats available for lunch. To get the most out of your meal, as is the norm when dining on Chinese food, it is advisable to order a variety of dishes and share within your party so you can sample all of the fabulous flavours and creations on offer. Recommendations include barbequed peking duck and the crispy suckling pig.
Although the restaurant can sometimes be quiet The Mayflower successfully unites authentic Cantonese food with a sophisticated dining atmosphere to leave you wanting to shout their praises from the rooftops.
