Seven Seas
Bangkok
A relatively new restaurant that opened in 2008 which is now regarded as one of the best casual places to dine in the lower Sukhumvit region of Bangkok. Seven Seas is a seafood eatery renowned for its friendly service (fluent in English) and generous portions, with recipes which originate from dainty coastal villages around the globe; the techniques have been taught to their chefs, and are replicated in their Bangkok kitchen. The success of this budget restaurant has been so successful that a second restaurant has recently opened close to the Seven Seas, this time opting for a Mexican inspired menu.
Further incentives to visit are happy hour which runs nightly from 4pm until 7pm for an elongated period of half price drinks. Outside of happy hour drink prices are still inexpensive and have recently been lowered; a rare occurrence for any restaurant. The calamari is their speciality that is prepared in numerous ways including pan fried, sautéed, deep fried, and grilled. Other popular items on the menu include paella, and their zingy lemon sea bass. For non fish lovers there is a nice selection of steaks and ribs to choose from.
Opening times: daily 12:30 - late
