A gourmet lover's paradise, CHESA is a superb restaurant serving Swiss cuisine in a quirky renovated teak house. Owners Thomas and Rene provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Opening 10 years ago, the restaurant serves leisurely lunches, nibbley snacks or multi-course meals.
The quality menu includes cold appetizers such as hor-d'oeuvres and fresh salmon tartar. There is a daily soup as well as the permanent asparagus, tomato, onion and mushroom, beef and barley soups. Keeping things light, try the salads or set lunch menu. There are daily special, seafood and fresh fish dishes as well as meat and pasta options. Try the deep-fried apple rings or marinated strawberries for a sweet dessert and crème brulee or caramel custard for something smooth and rich.
Search through the extensive wine list for the perfect accompaniment to your meal, from red, white, and rose wines to dessert, house and sparkling wines, not to mention the scrummy champagne.
With an additional private room, 24 people can enjoy an intimate business meeting or celebration dinner.
