Silom Village Seafood Restaurant
Bangkok
At Silom Village Seafood Restaurant you can experience more than just a meal out. Sit down to feast on a seafood extravaganza, enjoy traditional Thai food with a backdrop of classic dance, and experience Thai culture at its most engaging. The seafood at Silom Village includes classic dishes such as fried whole crab with black pepper, baked lobster thermidor with butter, and grilled river prawn. There's plenty of choice, all the authentic dishes you would expect from a Thai seafood menu - deep fried grouper, steamed squid - and their platters are great as a sharing appetiser.
Silom Village itself is a charming example of preserved Thai culture; the ancient teak buildings of Silom Road remain as they were built over 100 years ago, offering insight into the old Thai architecture that has largely disappeared from the city. The area is a popular tourist trap, home to many souvenir shops selling traditional Thai arts and crafts. Have a wander about after your meal and you'll also find demonstrations of skills such as fruit carving!
