MRT Hua Lamphong Station (HUA)
Bangkok
If you've had enough of being hassled by taxis, want the local experience or are a budget backpacker you should try Bangkok's MRT.
Hua Lamphong is Bangkok's main railway station and like most train stations in a city centre, it's pretty manic, steaming hot, jam packed full of people.
Since opening in 2004 the MRT line serves over 240,000 customers a day across 18 underground stations.
You can buy a ticket for trains the same or next day from the counter but will need the advance booking office for any later date. Booking early can mean huge savings on ticket prices.
Below are details of entrances and exits (including relevant streets), as well as buses and trains in the surrounding area as we know how difficult Bangkok can be to navigate on foot.
