Thai Lao Yeh Restaurant
Bangkok
Inside the newly opened Cabochon Hotel is their authentic restaurant; the name 'Thai Lao Yeh' can be translated into 'The Grand Old Man Restaurant', and this is undoubtedly a great representation of the interior decoration. The wooden panels have an age of over a century and were salvaged from a Thai village and expertly restored. The open plan restaurant seats 52 diners and two separate rooms 'Thai Yeah', and 'Lao Yeh' accommodate 8 and 12 guests respectively. The VIP rooms are ideal for a more exclusive gastronomy experience for celebrations or alternatively business lunches.
The food as suggested in the name is a mixture of authentic Thai and Laos cuisine, which is a unique combination of flavours and aromas that are presented in a truly classical style. Other amenities within the hotel take on a more modernistic approach including their exclusive rooftop swimming pool and garden. However, the club lounge is considerably old fashioned portraying a Parisian gentlemen's club inclusive of unusual furniture and a liquor cabinet filled with aged whisky and liquors.
Opening times: Open daily, breakfast 07:00-10:00; Lunch 11:30-14:00; Dinner 18:00-23:00.
