Probably the best tom yum goong i’ve eaten, full of flavors, level of chilli can be accommodated to our liking, a simple comforting dish that hits the right notes. The service was nice and he spoke english, which i find to be a rare thing here in Thailand. Thank you 😊🙏🏼
Mit Ko Yuan Restaurant is a true Thai-Chinese classic near the Giant Swing, serving the community for over 80 years—and it shows in the food. Located on Dinso Road, this long-standing spot is always buzzing with locals, which is usually the best sign. The dishes are packed with bold, well-balanced flavors, and the beef salad was a standout—tender meat with a great mix of savory, tangy, and aromatic notes. Simple, no-frills, and full of character, Mit Ko Yuan is a must-visit if you’re exploring the Sao Chingcha area and want a taste of old-school Bangkok. Definitely recommended.
Authentic flavours and very reasonable price. Was worried we would have to wait for long but it was actually quite quick as there’re plenty of seats inside. Shrimps is a must!!
Even all menus are quite simple, but the taste is solid and using fresh ingredients. One of recommended restaurant around giant swing area. I spent 610THB for 5 dishes with one bottle of water.
A Legendary Taste of Old Bangkok on Dinso Road! Mit Ko Yuan is a true hidden gem near the Giant Swing. This long-standing restaurant serves authentic Thai-Chinese comfort food that never disappoints. We ordered several signature dishes: • Mee Krob (Crispy Noodles): This is a must-try! The noodles are incredibly crunchy and glazed in a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and salty flavors. • Tom Yum Goong: The soup was punchy, aromatic, and loaded with fresh prawns. It’s the perfect bowl of spicy goodness. • Stir-fried Clams with Chili Paste: The clams were fresh, and the rich, savory chili paste sauce paired beautifully with steamed rice. • Spicy Cockle Salad: For those who love bold flavors, this dish is amazing. The cockles were perfectly blanched—juicy and fresh—tossed in a zesty, spicy dressing. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is nostalgic and charming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a real taste of Bangkok’s food heritage!"
