Lord Jim's
Bangkok
A seafood restaurant in Mandarin Oriental Bangkok hotel with one of the most respectable reputations in Bangkok that is beautifully poised above the river creating a great scenic treat for diners, especially those who get seated next to the green house style windows. It's recommended to book at least two weeks in advance due to its popularity, or for a more secluded experience a private room can be hired that accommodates 20 diners at lunch and 16 guests for dinner. The restaurant is open seven days a week; during the day Lord Jim's operates as a buffet style restaurant with an emphasis on seafood, but this is by no means the only option available. At night the restaurant transforms into a more fine dining experience with set menus and an a la carte menu.
The daytime buffet is unquestionably the star attraction at Lord Jim's, which is more expensive than a normal buffet eatery - but the quality represents gastronomy which is usually ordered from a set menu. Such delights include their famous sushi, lobster, and shellfish; but also meaty options including duck foie gras are available at the buffet station. The waiters are very friendly and the beverage list is very reasonably priced, including their great selection of wines.
Opening times: Buffet Lunch; Monday - Friday 12:00-14:30, Saturday & Sunday 11:30-15:00. Dinner; Monday - Sunday 19:00-22:30.
