Baby back ribs smoked with mesquite wood imported from the USA is the signature dish at the Roadhouse Barbeque along with slow cooked pulled pork which is smoked for over six hours and given a honey glaze for a big bite American sandwich. Other treats on the menu include hickory smoked chicken and even a couple of fish suppers with the aromas of apple wood.
This three-level restaurant next to the busy Silom shopping and tourist entertainment area is a saving grace for those craving some state-side savouries with all the rich barbecued meatiness of Southern style country food.
The Roadside Barbecue with its exposed brick walls, wooden beams and plank flooring, has a rustic look; the type of place you might imagine solid, no-nonsense ranchers, wranglers and cowboys to be tucking into a big, juicy steak.
Although the wine list is extensive, the Roadhouse Barbeque offers a great selection of cold draft beer and is certainly ideal for anyone wanting to down a cold one after being in the city heat, while they fill up on some American home-cooking. You can choose from 11 draft beers, including wheat beer and classics from Ireland, Germany, Belgium, and Japan. If that's not enough to tempt you, maybe an English cider can.
Three steaks feature on the menu, and whilst the prices match those of upmarket eateries the Roadhouse is all about sourcing good quality imported meats.
The Roadhouse is a good quality American food restaurant which doesn't try to be fancy, or steer far from the tried and tested dishes that remain classic.
