There are many reasons to visit Vimanmek Mansion, despite the main one - this is the largest mansion of golden teakwood on the globe located next to Dusit Zoo. Travellers visit the place to enjoy the interesting architecture of the main mansion and its seven dependable buildings and they stroll through all its 31 exhibition halls where they can feel the past atmosphere of Thailand. There are permanent exhibitions of ivory and silverware, crystal and ceramics, showing and preserving the national heritage of Thailand.
Besides the Vimanmek Mansion, one can see the Chinese Octagonal Pavilion, the Newlyweds Mansion, the Throne Hal, the Local Textile Exhibition Hall, etc. There is also a beautiful park called the Dunsit Garden.
