Description
Travel to the rural area near Bangkok, where orchards grow organic fruits and trees. The local community arranges agro-tourism excursions using long-tailed boats equipped with sunshades for comfort. As you cruise along the Mahasawat Canal, you will see large fishing nets and get an insight into local lifestyles.
You will visit several stops including a lotus field, orchid farm, and fruit orchards. There are 4 to 5 stops to choose from, allowing you to select which locations to spend time at.
At a family-run lotus farm, you can paddle the boat to pick lotus flowers and walk through their herbal garden. You will also make and taste a local snack called Khao Tang Na Tang (crispy rice with shrimp dip), which is available to purchase if you wish.
The tour includes a stop at a household growing gag fruit, known for its unusual appearance but commonly used in drinks and Thai noodle dishes. The orchid farm features thousands of orchids cultivated for export, with plants available at prices lower than in the city. If the orchid farm on Klong Mahasawat is closed, an alternative orchid farm visit is arranged.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant before ending the tour with a visit to a farm café designed for enjoying nature and relaxing before returning to Bangkok.
