Description

Enjoy real Thai street food the way the local people do, while taking in the sights of some of the oldest districts of Bangkok. Starting from Hua Lamphong, we pass through Trok Rong Moo (old Chinatown) on our way to Taladnoi, famous for street art and its ancient architecture and street life, before visiting the large outdoor food markets of Mahanak and finishing in bustling Chinatown. Travel is by Tuktuk with short walks to take in the local sights. There are plenty of scenic spots to snap photos and soak up the atmosphere, with a visit to the Chao Praya riverbank for sunset included. We aim to give you an evening of authentic street food, the way the locals eat it, from carefully selected venues to bring you the real character of Thai dining. Food from all regions is represented. The tour includes the story of each dish and the neighbourhoods as you walk. You will see historic places such as temples, old Bangkok architecture, outdoor fresh food/fruit markets, and street art alongside the locals who live in the area. At many stops you will see the chef prepare your food and you can interact with the process. For example, when eating Tom Yam noodles you can pick and choose ingredients and see the way the locals eat, and adjust spice levels to your taste. Our Thai guides speak excellent English, Cambodian and Vietnamese, and are available at any time to help you and answer your questions. Feel free to stop to take photos at your leisure at any of the many picturesque places. The style of eating is fun and relaxed - you can chat while you eat, drink while you walk - Thai eating culture is easygoing and so is our tour! Our guide will meet you at the Hualamphong MRT station (exit 4). Total time is three to three and a half hours. After the tour, our guides can walk you to the MRT, call transport for you, or you can stay on to enjoy the atmosphere of Chinatown.
