High-Speed Catamaran + Bus Depart from Nathon Pier, Bang Rak Pier (Big Buddha), or Mae Nam Pralan Pier (depending on the schedule/trip) and arrive at Khao San Road and nearby areas. Outbound: Koh Samui ➡️ Bangkok Leg 1 (By Sea): Board a premium catamaran from Koh Samui to the pier in Chumphon Province. The boat is fast and relatively stable, taking about 3.5 - 4 hours (with brief en-route stops at Koh Phangan and Koh Tao). Leg 2 (By Land): Upon arriving at the Chumphon pier, immediately board the company's double-decker bus waiting nearby for a direct drive to Bangkok's Khao San Road, taking about 6 - 7 hours.
