Discover three unique local cafés as we stroll and drive through Bangkok’s charming Old Town. Taste carefully curated coffee, meet passionate café owners and baristas, and gain insights into Thailand’s developing specialty coffee culture. We’ll explore how coffee intertwines with art, design, and community. The final drop-off is at Shelly House in the Silom area, a cozy private café owned by your guide and accessible by MRT.
Stop 1: Decho Area (35 mins)
Tucked inside an old building dating back to Rama V era. A hidden gem where art meets coffee. The owner, a former art director, brings his design eye into both the cafe and its coffee curation. Monochrome doubles as a mini art space, showcasing rotating exhibitions every month. Enjoy a beautifully crafted cup of coffee surrounded by creativity.
Stop 2: Old Town Songwat (35 mins)
• Located in a charming neighborhood of Bangkok Old Town. Housed in a renovated shophouse along Song Wat Road, SCR offers a warm, community-oriented environment with vintage flair.
Stop 3: Old Town Songwat (35 mins)
• Experience Songwat Blend, a specialty mix featuring Thai beans from Nan Province — crafted to showcase the flavors of highland Thai coffee. The café was founded by a passionate coffee roaster, and they have been supporting farmers in the upper north for over a decade.
