Bangkok: Thai Cooking Class and Onnuch Market Tour
74 ReviewsLearn how to cook traditional Thai food with this cooking class and market visit. Cook 4 authentic Thai dishes, visit the Onnuch food market, and enjoy the flavors of Thai food.
If you're looking to escape the casual, backpacker-filled bars of the Khao San road and other such areas, head to Niu's on Silom. This high end wine bar and restaurant is chic and up-market, with luxurious décor, candle lit tables and excellent service. The ground floor is a jazz club and wine bar, playing some of the best jazz, blues and soul and providing a stage for the local (as well as international) talent. The schedule of performances is varied and exciting, showcasing some of the world's top musicians in an intimate setting.
Upstairs you can indulge in another passion of Niu's: gastronomy. World renowned chef Marco Cammarata has put his wealth of knowledge and passion to good use, with Concerto Restaurant, a romantic and elegant restaurant serving top-notch Italian cuisine - as well as a few traditional Thai dishes, for good measure.
You can even dine al fresco on the tree-framed garden terrace, or just enjoy some cocktails in the evening. The wine list is extremely extensive, so take your time in choosing! The music is transmitted from stage to speakers, so you won't miss out on the entertainment.
Open from 11.30am - 1am every day.
Happy hour: All night on Wednesdays
