Arrived a bit too early, so I missed the live band. However I can hang around and chill. The shirtless team is not creepy at all. Feel like hanging out at a beach bar somewhere. Their playlist is gold ✌️☮️
Such a happy, lovely vibe. Great to hear Thai live music instead of covers. Plus the guy serving us was honest when I didn't remember if I'd already paid for my first round (he told me I did). So far, my favourite bar in Bangkok 👏
Been stopping by this place every once in awhile since I first visited Bangkok 20 years ago. The atmosphere is still the same. If you want a break from the chaotic scenes of Khao San road, this is the place.
I was brought to this bar by someone (December 2025) who had been there over 10+ years ago! He said it was still the same solid awesome vibe as back then. I agree. I went to Happy Bar many times after that while in BKK and was welcomed with a smile and a singha every time! The staff is amazing! Each one of them is a completely unique character filled with love and great vibes! The owners, May and Tong are absolute true Thailand gems! They are kind, hardworking and run their bar like a musical and community piece of art! They have great art, (done by May) great vibes, and ALWAYS made me feel at home! The music was excellent and created a relaxing atmosphere. However, the service was concerning. A server approached us without a shirt, wearing only shorts, which felt inappropriate. Additionally, a comment made to one of our guests, who is Thai, was insulting and made us uncomfortable. As a result, we chose to leave the bar. This experience was not acceptable.😡😠 not so Happy
