I gave a five star rating for this hotel even though my first impression would have been no stars and a bad review. I had traveled well over 30 hours and arrived to be put in a rabbit-hutch of a room that smelled mouldy. Admittedly, my (Thai) partner had done the booking with economy as her first priority..... and that is what we got. After a chat with the (lovely) reception staff, we were put in a much nicer room. The next day I upgraded to a suite (800 baht more) and it was fab. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful and my first impression was changed, especially when we went to breakfast - very nice! We ended up staying an extra night. Be mindful of what room you are booking as a few extra baht makes a very big difference.
I don't understand the reviews about the street being stinky. What are these people in this hotel off the street supposed to do about it? The staff are great here. I had packages delivered and they took care of it until I came. No tips involved. You might say it is bare minimum service but it was appreciated! Their golf cart to Sukhumvit is a nice touch. Especially when it is 36 degrees and you get very hot walking. Give them a chance to impress you.
I chose this hotel primarily because of its convenient location, as I had business in the area. Unfortunately, the room itself was quite disappointing. * The room was very small and felt stuffy, with poor ventilation. * The liquid soap in the bathroom appeared to have been previously used and had not been replaced before my arrival. * The towels were old and worn out. * One of the pillowcases was torn, which gave an impression of poor housekeeping standards. That said, I would like to compliment the staff. They were friendly, polite, and always greeted guests with a smile, which made the stay more pleasant. The location is certainly the hotel’s strongest advantage, and the staff provided good service. However, the condition of the room and attention to cleanliness did not meet my expectations. If location is your main priority, this hotel may be suitable. Otherwise, there may be better options available nearby.
