Description

See the City of Angels in a whole new light as you cycle through the city after sunset! This Bangkok night bike tour takes you along quiet backstreets, across the Chao Phraya River, and past Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks; beautifully illuminated against the night sky. Start your adventure near MRT Sam Yot Station with a quick bike fitting before setting off into the hidden laneways of the Old City. Your first stop is Loha Prasat, Thailand’s only metal castle, where its gleaming spires shine against the night sky. Standing there at night feels like you have discovered a secret side of Bangkok! Continue past the Democracy Monument and the lively backstreets of Khao San Road, before pausing at Phra Athit Fort and the striking Rama VIII Bridge: a favourite local spot. As you take a local ferry across the river, relax and watch the lights shimmering on the water. On the Thonburi side, ride the quiet backstreets to Wat Rakang: a centuries-old temple from the Ayutthaya period. Riding along the riverside path, roll past the glowing spires of Wat Arun, Bangkok’s iconic Temple of Dawn beautifully lit against the river. Later, cross the Memorial Bridge back to the east bank, arriving at the Bangkok Flower Market (Pak Khlong Talat) just as it bursts into life with colours, fragrances, and late-night bustle. Wander through the maze of flower-filled alleys, where jasmine garlands and lotus buds are prepared for temples across Bangkok. Your guide will select a few local snacks for you to taste as you pause to unwind, observe the bustle, and soak up the authentic rhythm of Bangkok life after dark. From there, ride past Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, their golden pagodas and rooftops glowing brilliantly under the floodlights. By night, these world-famous landmarks feel almost otherworldly, without the daytime crowds. Pause at Sanam Luang, the vast royal parade ground, for sweeping views of the palace complex lit against the dark sky. The final stop is the towering Giant Swing (Sao Ching Cha), one of Bangkok’s most iconic monuments. Illuminated deep red, it rises dramatically above the Old City, a perfect photo op to end your evening ride before pedalling back through the quiet streets. This Discova Experience includes all bike equipment, helmets, insurance, and an expert local guide along with some snacks and water. 12 kilometres of easy cycling, well-lit routes, and a careful pace make this safe and enjoyable for all riders. By the time you return, you will have experienced a cooler, calmer, and more authentic side of Bangkok: one that most travellers never get to see.
