Description

Explore the heart of Thai culture and history as you visit three of Bangkok’s most significant landmarks: the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. This detailed tour will guide you through each site’s rich history and stunning architecture. Meet your guide in front of the Golden Place, and head to the Grand Palace. Admire the exquisite Thai architecture and intricate details of the palace. See the Emerald Buddha, carved from a single block of jade, and enshrined at Wat Phra Kaew, the temple of the Emerald Buddha. Admire the golden chedis (stupas), vibrant murals, and the grand ceremonial halls. The blending of traditional Thai and European architectural styles is particularly striking. See the Chakri Maha Prasat Hall, a ceremonial hall for state occasions with a mix of Thai and neoclassical design. Next, visit Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Explore the various stupas and intricately painted murals depicting Buddha's life and scenes from Thai mythology. See the massive 46-meter-long and 15-meter-high statue of the Reclining Buddha, covered in gold leaf, with feet inlaid with mother-of-pearl, featuring auspicious symbols. Finally, take a short ferry boat ride across the Chao Phaya River to visit Wat Arun, one of Bangkok’s most iconic temples, famous for its stunning riverside location and ornate design, especially at sunset when the temple is illuminated. Climb the steep steps of the temple’s central tower for breathtaking views of the river and the city. Explore the smaller prangs and beautifully decorated gardens that provide a serene atmosphere. Enjoy the picturesque views of the Chao Phraya River and the skyline of Bangkok. **The Grand Palace ticket also includes Khon Performance Dance (One of the old traditional dance shows) which located in the Salachalermkrung theater Our guide will hand the Grand Palace tickets to you after the tour ends, then you can use the tickets to watch the show *Khon Performance at Sala Chalermkrung.
