Fantastic view over Bangkok from the rotating bar on the 25th floor. The rooms are what they are, used and somewhat dirty with dust laying around, especially on non visible surfaces. But most things were working. You get what you pay for. Their "award winning" restaurant isn't worth a visit and why would you have a view like that and then have a restaurant without windows on the 8th floor. Nice people and fine service though.

Good location. Hotel a bit dated but it is still quite a grand type of hotel. Can be a bit difficult to find your room depending on which lift you take. Room large and comfortable with a fantastic view of Bangkok. Bar upstairs revolves and is so nice at night. Definitely worth a visit.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is certainly older and would benefit from some upgrades, but it is clean and the location is amazing. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooftop bar is cute and the gym was decent. No complaints.

Reception was great, even held our packages. Room was clean, tidy, and always made daily. Laundry service was fast. Location is awesome, just walk outside at night and street food galore. 7-Eleven nearby, multiple atms, nearby the metro system. Great location overall.

Stayed at the hotel from April 7 till the 21. We are still here and will leave on the 21 of April to go to jomtien. Location at this hotel is probably the best. Right in Chinatown, 7 minute walk to Mrt blue line at wat mangkorn and a 6 minute walk to the chao phraya pier number 5 Ratchawong. We had a leak in our room over night and a problem with our drains. Upon telling the staff at the front desk it was repaired immediately. The rooms were clean neat and tidy and the ac worked very well. Coffee was very good in morning in our room, and the view from our 19th floor balcony was spectacular. Honestly the only negative was the genz bar. We decided to take a break from Chinatown Bangkok for food and went there instead only to wait 10 minutes with no service and not even a beer. So disappointed. We will come back to the grand china Bangkok because of the rooms, spectacular views, location and the pleasant staff (not including genz). If the staff of genz would have been on their game, this hotel would easily would have rated a 5 star.
