**A peaceful oasis in the heart of Bangkok** This is a truly special place. Tucked away at the quiet end of the street, near a canal, it's within walking distance of the city centre and Bumrungrad International Hospital, yet feels wonderfully private and peaceful. I stayed here for four nights while recovering from surgery, and it couldn't have been a better choice. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive and genuinely caring without ever feeling overly formal. They made me feel completely at home. My spacious room overlooked a lush garden with a small private patio where I spent my days reading, waking to birdsong and falling asleep to the sound of rain. The bathroom was fantastic, and every detail of the property reflects thoughtful design and genuine love. I got addicted to those little rice milk soap bars. I noticed some reviews complaining about the trees, birds, humidity or distance from the BTS, and couldn't stop wondering - what is wrong with you people...To me, that's part of the charm. This is Southeast Asia—lush, tropical and alive. If you're looking for a sterile chain hotel rigjt next to a BTS station, this probably isn't the place for you. I've stayed in many hotels across Bangkok over the past decade, and this has become my favourite. This was my second visit, and it exceeded all expectations. I left feeling fully recovered, rested and already looking forward to coming back.

Gorgeous hotel with a wide variety of beautiful plants on the property. We had a great 3-night stay and had zero issues. All staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The food (all vegetarian) is shockingly good. Overall, this hotel makes you feel like you are not in a large, busy city, but rather a peaceful jungle, while still being in a great, central location to explore Bangkok.

Ariyasomvilla is everything. It's an oasis smack dab in the middle of the city. The restaurant has a tall ceiling with huge windows that open out onto the tees and gardens. The room had beautiful wood floors with tile and rock in the bathroom. The service was excellent, taking special care to ensure our GF diet was respected. The restaurant served a wide variety of foods all freshly made - including some Western European fare, and the pool space was tranquil and serene, perfect for unwinding after a busy day touring. We would definitely go back!

Amazing large colonial style room (new building, ground floor) . Enjoyed salt water pool, long enough for some swim laps. Tried the hotel restaurant that had surprisingly good food and large variety. We liked the vegetarian menu but could do without veggie bacon/sausage :-) Really good and attentive service, hope to return soon.

There's so much good about this hotel, with the staff being particularly good. The old house and grounds provide a carefully designed oasis and the location at the end of a small street is quiet but a drawback if you want to get a taxi anywhere. Unfortunately we felt the room design let it down. The en-suite uses borrowed light with internal windows, which is clever but at night the corridor light floods through. The en-suite had loose cobbles on the floor which isn't the safest idea. We had a room with connection to the next room and the sound insulation was abysmal. Next door (probably freshly arrived from Europe) started getting loud phone notifications at 2am and carried on until the morning. To end on a positive note, the Eggs Benedict is superb and we enjoyed dinner here one night, also good.
