We stayed at First House Hotel for 8 days, and we truly appreciated everything this hotel had to offer. When we booked the Superior Double Room (No Window), we expected it to be on the smaller side. To our surprise, it was actually quite spacious. Even with our luggage placed along the sides of the room, there was still plenty of space to move around comfortably. We even joked that we could probably fit a hula hoop session in there! Although we booked a room without a window, there was still a window inside. The neighboring building partially blocked the view, but we could still see a bit of the sky from the upper part. It wasn't an issue at all since we didn't specifically request a window, but we appreciated having the option to look outside. The room was well-equipped, and everything worked perfectly. It had a good-quality hair dryer, a clean refrigerator with a freezer, a functioning TV, a hot shower, and, most importantly, fast and reliable Wi-Fi. The air conditioner also worked really well and kept the room nice and cool, which was especially refreshing after spending the day exploring the city. The hotel also provided complimentary bottled water, coffee, tissues, towels, toothbrushes, bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo, a bath mat, a chair, and a clothes rack for hanging clothes, which made our stay even more comfortable. The service was excellent from check-in until the end of our stay. We arrived earlier than the official check-in time, but the reception staff kindly accommodated us by safely storing our luggage so we could go out and have lunch while waiting. Throughout our stay, they were always helpful whenever we requested room cleaning or an extra chair. We also appreciated that every time housekeeping cleaned the bathroom, they replenished the tissues without us having to ask. It was a small gesture, but one that we found very useful. During check-out, the staff also went the extra mile by helping us load our luggage into the taxi. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our departure much easier and left us with a great final impression of the hotel. The hotel's location is another huge advantage. It's surrounded by restaurants, clothing stores, and convenience stores—there seemed to be a 7-Eleven on almost every street! If you're visiting mainly for shopping, this hotel is a great choice. There are plenty of places to buy souvenirs nearby, lots of delicious food options, and there's even a money changer right beside the hotel if you need to exchange your currency to Thai Baht. Lastly, what made our stay even more enjoyable was the warm hospitality of the hotel staff. They were always smiling, welcoming, and pleasant to interact with. The area also felt very safe, and we felt comfortable going outside even late at night or at dawn because the surroundings were well-lit. Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying at First House Hotel. Thank you for making our 8-day stay comfortable and memorable. We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who want a convenient location, friendly service, and great value for money.

I’ve stayed at First House Bangkok a few times mainly because of its unbeatable location. It’s extremely convenient, right downstairs you already have food stalls, small shops, a shopping market, and a 7-Eleven. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk to December Mall and Platinum Mall, which makes it perfect if your main goal is shopping. One thing I appreciated is that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Chatuchak on weekends (around 10:30am and 12:30pm, if I remember correctly), which is a nice added bonus. For the rooms, I booked the double room without a window. A tip for future guests: make sure you check the room photos carefully when booking. There is another “double room” option that is more expensive and looks more luxurious in photos, but it’s actually smaller — not really worth the extra money in my opinion. Overall, this is a typical budget hotel — don’t expect luxury. There’s no bathtub, and the toilet/shower setup is basic with just a shower curtain separating the wet and dry areas. It’s really more for convenience and location rather than comfort. During my most recent stay, I had some issues. On the first day, we were given a room with a leaking air conditioner. We went to the lobby early the next morning (around 8am) to request a room change, and thankfully it was allowed — though we had to technically check out and check in again. However, what really disappointed me this time was the service. There was one staff member (possibly a manager, as he wore a darker uniform) who was not helpful at all and seemed to just say “no” to everything without trying to assist. This was quite different from my previous experiences and left a bad impression. Because of this, although the location is still great, I’ll likely try other hotels in the area for my next trip.
