Siam Champs Elyseesi Unique Hotel

It was decent, and I we could stay again, but a few things brought it down. As tourist that have been very impressed with the metro and BTS service in bangkok, this hotel is far from a station (over 20 minutes walk). But it does seem they are building a new line nearby. There was a warning about overnight construction noise but gratefully, we didnt hear anything. Some items provided in the room (earbuds, soap, hair cap) but no toothbrush or toothpaste. A bit annoying as one of us didnt have one so ended up heading out to buy one. Family staying at a hostel nearby had them available for free from a box reception... The view wasnt exactly a 'city view' as stated on the booking website (see photo, and look closely!) so maybe don't anticipate seeing much from the room. It was great to have a bath, but the shower unit over the bath was a bit dodgy if you just wanted a shower. 3/5 Google says is 'good', I would go with that overall 🙏
The room is spacious and very clean. The refrigerator is stocked with very reasonably priced snacks and drinks for your convenience. The television has 3 English stations which was very nice and although the stations did not carry any movies or series, it was still nice to be able to catch up on world news. The breakfast was fantastic. My fellow traveler booked a room with breakfast included in the price but we did not and it was 300 Baht per person. Well worth it! Delicious. The only problem we had was that, although it's very close to the Grand Palace and Temples, taxi and Grab drivers had a very difficult time finding the correct exit off of Democracy Circle. It may be because of heavy construction in the area (July, 2026) but it was still frustrating.
This little boutique hotel was located right by democracy square and a short walk to Khao San road. Great restaurant and things to do. Sights to see near by. Loved this location. Rooms were ok, beds firm, there was no shower in my room, but a large tub with a shower to hold. Pretty quiet area, was a good value for the money and location. Breakfast was decent and fresh. We enjoyed our stay. 🙏
Great location, close to major temples. Nice, spacious rooms. Clean, understated. Breakfast is great! Bar next door is extremely noisy and loud. It goes all the way into the night so you may want to bring ear plugs to block out butchered renditions of Rolling in Deep.
