The room has really strong smell I booked 2 nights but I end up stay for one night because I couldn’t sleep good. You want to sleep in clean environment. The services was good and welcome but please manager of this hotel makes sure to clean better and renovate a room. Please don’t stay here you will get hit or miss like other reviews.
Great location. Aircon in room smelled. And drainage smelled. The WiFi didn’t for my whole stay. The phone in my room was broken. Noticed a lot of the furniture seemed stained or damaged. Needs to be refurbished, rooftop is great, was traveling to hua hin for two nights and they wouldn’t store luggage.
I had a 2-night stay in Mid-March 2026 after attending a conference in the city. UHG (Urban Hospitality Group) is a major owner and operator of hotels and mixed-use complexes in Bangkok, established in 1999. As of the time of writing, the group operates 19 hotel/residence and 5 commercial office projects in key locations across the City. To me, they represent simple, reasonable, no-frills & value-for-money hotels and residences around the city, having just stayed at The Quarter Ramkamhaeng less than a month ago. I recall paying about 1800THB a night for the Junior Suite, which is significantly larger than the standard rooms, which I had actually stayed at 4 years ago in 2022, and I found that pricing to be very reasonable. I did not notice any major wear and tear from 4 years ago, and the prices were also interestingly very similar. This property in particular seems to be positioned as a serviced apartment style, featuring a full kitchen, full-sized fridge, working desk, dining table as well as most importantly for me, a washing machine, which came in very handy as I’d been doing some sporting activities and had to use it every day of my stay. Fortunately the rooms looked like they had undergone some refurbishment over the past 4 years or so, the lighting was bright and strong, and the overall cleanliness of the room, bed, working desk and bathroom seemed good with some minor signs of wear and tear. Sound insulation was reasonably good too, I did not hear any road noise despite having a room facing the main road on a low-ish floor. The only problem was the lack of a hairdryer, which some others have mentioned, I assume that it has to be requested from the front desk. The shower was another bit of a disappointment as the hot water pressure was really weak, and would only be stronger when the temperature was turned down. On the other hand, the Wifi worked well, and did not require any passwords or login codes. Even though the property is quite a journey to the nearest Skytrain station, it is after all a trade-off between convenience and peace in this bustling city. A big, spacious, and clean room in a vibrant and charming neighbourhood, along with strong and powerful WiFi and hot showers made the stay better compared to even some brand-name hotels. Just as important to me was that the property was not located in one of those seedy sois. I come to Bangkok 10-12 times a year and have lived in more than 75 different hotels and BnBs over the years, and since the last visit 4 years ago, this has still proven to be one of the more value-for-money hotels right on the edge of town.
I had a very pleasant stay at The Residence on Thonglor by UHG. The room was comfortable and nicely designed, and the balcony was a great feature, especially for stepping outside for a cigarette. One small thing to note is that if the balcony door is open while the AC is on, outside smells can come into the room. On one occasion there was a grilled fish smell from downstairs that the AC carried inside-NOT NICE The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to relax, especially when it’s quiet. The location suited me very well, with many excellent Japanese restaurants nearby and convenient access to the international airport. Overall, it offers very good value for money. I would happily recommend it for both business and leisure stays in Bangkok. TV needs an upgrade/ i would be much happier if i could use my Netflix on the TV or mirror mode for my phone or an iPad.
We were going to stay here for 2 nights, but after they upgraded us to a suite we decided to stay for 5. The hotel is excellent with welcoming and attentive staff, good service, and breakfast. The suite is spacious, with a kitchenette, washing machine, fridge, hob, microwave etc. Big comfy bed, smart TV, balcony, safe, and large ensuite bathroom (with a bath). Clean and serviced daily. Currently on day 3 of our stay and happy with our choice in a good location of Thonglor. We would choose this hotel again.
