It is very alive with lots of greenery which gives a place refreshing breeze almost like you are on an island and the little alley down the soi will get you to the beach. The style and details are on point and Shanti Lodge stands up to its' name, making a very calm and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a reset in a busy, hustling city. Location's really great. Across the seven eleven, by the entrance to the very beautiful Buddhist Temple. Close to the market with day and night varieties of street food. Overall, top notch location to explore the less heavily touristed areas of downtown. By the way, there is a laundry shop just in front of the Lodge, 70 baht per kg of clothes, did very good job as well, perfect for a traveler. I loved the room but gotta keep in mind the single rooms don't have an ac (at least the one I booked), so be aware if that a must for you in this climate. Apart from that everything is really clean and tidy, especially bathrooms.
Room is fill with positive Wooden aesthetic , Fish Demos, Nice Ambiance with Aesthetic Cafe, Peaceful staycation away from Khaosan Noice. But there is Cons too Major one they don’t have lift. Only stairs. Wooden stairs are slippery during songkran. And u have to carefull while walking . They don’t allowed footwear’s on rooms and stairs that’s a major negative and cause slippery. A tourist slips from the stair in front of me. Next negative is that rooms has not had a privacy, i mean voice problems because another person’s room activities noise and their sound is hearable to My room . No sound wall protection. There is no Styling Mirror that was highly major cons for me.There is Mini table that’s avoidable . Bt Ac not working properly. Need a maintenance for Air Conditioning and last We stayed for 4 days no room service happens during these 4 days . We displayed the “ Make up Room” board sign to the door and when we back room was still unclean. Waste bin is fully filled and they didn’t take the waste too. These are the pros and cons of this stay
Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a great stay here. Early check-in was possible, which was very convenient for us. Booking cabs was easy, Cabs arrive right outside the stay and there’s a 7/11 just opposite the property. The room was clean and comfortable. I recommend choosing a room on the 2nd floor if you want a balcony view, or the 1st floor if stairs aren’t your thing. The whole place is very traditional and loved the aesthetics: I’m only sad I did not get enough time to clic beautiful pictures here. Will definitely stay here again. The hotel also has its own restaurant on ground level which is awesome. The gate closes at 10 PM, but you can get back in easily with the keys and instructions provided. There are also great food options nearby, costing only around 50 baht per person right outside your stay so it’s very convenient. We tried different food at different stalls every single day. Loved the location and everything about this place – truly a fantastic experience!
I absolutely loved this place! If I have the chance, I will definitely come back again. I really enjoyed the natural atmosphere here — it’s peaceful and refreshing. They offer both food and drinks, which is very convenient. There are fan rooms and air-conditioned rooms available, so you can choose what suits you best. The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly. I truly loved everything about this place and will definitely return. Love it so much!🤎🤎🤎🕉️
I stayed here first time in 1988, had a great time so I had nostalgic emotions about revisiting. Sadly, time has moved on. And so have I, I guess. I did not have a good time this time. It started badly with a reception girl that tried her very best to make me feel unwelcome. Rarely do you see this in Thailand. The walls of the room are paper thin, you can literally hear ppl in the next room breathing. Next time I will find a real hotel.
