New Siam Palace Ville Hotel

I booked New Siam Palace Ville Hotel on a deal, and that made it feel more acceptable than it probably would have at full price. The room was pretty basic, even though I had reserved a higher category room, so my expectations were not really met. It was fine for a short stay, but I would have been disappointed otherwise.
I arrived here at the hotel Thuesday night may 26 and checking out early tomorrow morning Thursday may 28. The place is nice, friendly Staff and the breakfast is amazing. Also very quiet place, I can highly recommend this hotel to other guests who want a peaceful place to stay. Thank you. Regards Einar Fossmo
The hotel is old but really clean and the breakfast is good. But the staff in the reception are a bit snubbish. We arrive around 9pm from a 12hr drive from phuket. We were really tired and we just booked the nearest hotel we could. When we arrive there, no one help us with our luggage. One of the receptionist is a bit of snub who keeps on sighing or having deep breaths. She asked my partner if the booking was under his name, but he did not hear it after that the staff become rude. Her annoyance is very obvious, she keeps on having deep breathes while entering our passport details. Also she looks like she is intentionally doing it slow. She even stop encoding and chat with the other staff than finishing already her task. The other receptionist already give our keycard and wifi password, but we couldnt go yet as our passport is still with the rude receptionist.. Also when we go to our floor we also have to figure out where is our room as nobody showed or give us direction. Other than that the guard is also unhelpful which never offers help with our luggage. Compare to its price, better add a little more and get a more decent hotel than stay here.
We got a deal on booking com, however if we had paid full price, we would of been so disappointed. Room was basic even though we booked a superior (or some other similar name) it was to have a balcony and garden View. It had a tiny little balcony with no chairs . Not allowed smoke in the premises nor the little balcony. You have to go reception to ask for fresh bedding ,towels or toilet paper. The pool was a waste of time, as there is only maybe 6 loungers and people just leave their towels on them hogging them all day. I can say it's the first hotel in life 've never used the pool. The breakfast was great and the reception ladies were friendly. Would I stay here again, definitely not. For the price you will get much nicer accommodation to meet your needs, we booked this specifically for the pool and couldn't even use it
