Kastel Bangkok Hotel

Everything is perfect. The rooms are very good. The staffs are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is very good. It has many oprions to choose from. However, the location is a bit off from the attractions and shopping malls, but the other hotel services make up for it. Bolt and Grab drivers find it difficult to locate the hotel entrance. You can just stand outside the main road to catch taxi or app based vehicles. The MRT station is also close by. Overall the hotel stay was excellent.
Stayed at Kastel Bangkok Hotel for 5 nights. I chose this hotel based on its many positive reviews, but one important detail that wasn’t mentioned is that it’s located right next to an elementary school. If you’re planning to sleep during the day on weekdays, be prepared for significant noise from the school activities. The hotel itself is decent, but unfortunately, my room was not in great condition. The window lock was broken, which was concerning. On top of that, during the three weekdays of my stay, there was ongoing work on the roof with construction noise. If you’re someone who likes to rest or sleep in the morning, this may not be the best choice, as the noise can make it difficult to relax. While the location may work for some travelers, my overall experience was affected by the room condition and the lack of peace and quiet.
Stayed for 3 nights. The room was ok. The Air conditioner was quite loud at night and I ended up using ear plugs. Further, you would get a lot of smells like people smoking and traffic pollution through it at different times. I didn't bother reporting because it was central air-conditioning so likely little they could do. The breakfast was good, not great,, no espresso which I thought was odd for a 4 star. The traffic noises were also quite loud in the evening and morning. It's not very sound proofed. The location was difficult to get to from the ARL by grab or bolt or taxi. I had 6 drivers cancel. We ended up walking 1.4 km. We accidentally booked the wrong room and I had sent several messages via booking.com in app messaging as well as email and never received a response from them. When we arrived, they said they weren't aware of any messages. I confirmed the email address as well as the in app messaging. They were able to change our room, but really just moved two beds together, which worked, and added breakfast for 300 thb for the two of us instead of the 200 thb on the app. A little disappointing. I think there are better options in the area, and I think next time I would stay at the end of the ARL as there seems to be more places with easier access and we went down there for supper there each night.
I recently stayed at Kastel Hotel and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, the service was excellent. We were warmly greeted by the staff and even received a welcome drink, which was a lovely touch after traveling. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were very helpful — they even lent us a travel adapter when we realized we had forgotten ours. That extra effort truly made a difference. All the staff members were friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist. Our room was perfect for two people — clean, well-maintained, and equipped with facilities in good condition. Housekeeping did a great job every day, ensuring everything stayed neat and comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the small lobby area outside the room. It was a cozy and well-maintained space where we could sit and relax, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. The breakfast was simple but satisfying for the price we paid. It was mainly Western-style, which was a plus for us. And the waffles are definitely a must-try! The best part of this hotel is its location. It is about 1.5 km from the Platinum Shopping Mall / Pratunam Market area, making it convenient yet slightly away from the heavy crowds. Even when we were too tired to walk, taking a Grab or tuk-tuk was quick and affordable since it wasn’t too far. We could easily avoid long traffic jams and get back to the hotel without hassle. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok!
😍An excellent stay and truly worth the price. From arrival, the warm welcome set a great first impression. The hotel’s French-inspired design is elegant and charming. The room was spacious and comfortable, with quality toiletries and efficient room service. Breakfast offered a good variety — cereals, breads, muffins, rice waffles, and sausages — with options for everyone. A pleasant surprise was discovering a Saturday morning market near the hotel during an early morning walk, which added a lovely local touch to the stay. The outdoor areas are beautifully maintained, ideal for family photos, and the evening sit-out is a pleasant place to relax with friends. A comfortable and well-managed hotel that we would happily recommend.
