I visited Green Room on Sunday, July 12, and had such a wonderful experience. I was lucky enough to see Peter’s live performance there. After the show, we had a great conversation, and he kindly invited me to see his next performance at another club. Because of that unexpected meeting at Green Room, I had one of the most unforgettable nights of my month-long stay in Thailand. I’m flying back to Korea tonight, and unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to Peter in person. If Peter sees this, I just want to say: “Hi Peter! Thank you so much for giving me such a special memory in Bangkok. I will always remember that night and the kindness you showed me. I hope we can meet again someday. Thank you so much, Peter!” Also, thank you to Green Room for creating a place where these wonderful moments can happen. I really enjoyed the music, atmosphere, and warm hospitality.
This is the only authentic live music bar in Bangkok. Great music 7 days a week. Cold beer, great cocktails and very friendly staff. #1 Bar Bangkok. I don’t add photos because you can’t beat the authentic.
Great bar with awesome live 80s music. This little gem is tucked away among some rather questionable massage parlours, which somehow adds to its charm. Once you're inside, it's a welcome escape from the chaos outside. It's a rare find where both Thais and foreigners come together to enjoy the music and atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the live band creates a fantastic vibe throughout the night. This bar was a great find and is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
This place is a hidden gem, tucked down the end of Soi 7/1. It’s a smallish music bar, with seating at the front and back and at balcony level, whilst the bands play on a stage in the middle facing the side wall ! But it works really well. The owner is clearly a music fanatic and you can see the pleasure he gets from the bands as they play. It’s also a cool thing when a band plays a particular song, the owner puts the matching music video on the screen … timing sometimes off, but nearly there ! Sound and general acoustics are excellent wherever I have sat, drinks are reasonably priced and they also serve bar snacks. Sadly one of my favourite bands there, The Grumps, aren’t here anymore (what happened), but I’ve enjoyed every other band I’ve seen here. If you like live music, Green Room is an excellent night out, and it’s great to have a dedicated bar promoting music and bands, as opposed to a bar where a house band churns out the same old tired songs night after night.
