I was recommended this Burmese restaurant by my Burmese mate, and it definitely lived up to the recommendation. The restaurant has a nice open-air setup with a roof for rain protection, plenty of fans, power outlets, and surprisingly fast Wi-Fi (around 200 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload), so it's a comfortable place to spend some time. The food was excellent. My favorite dish was the fermented tea leaf salad — something I'd never tried before, and it was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that the table was a bit sticky, and I accidentally got black paint on my white sweatshirt from one of the black metal fixtures. Everything else was great. The waitress was incredibly kind and took the time to explain how to eat the different Burmese dishes since it was my first time trying this cuisine.
The restaurant located at Pratunam area and many Burmese shop nearby. However, I chose Yoe Yoe Lae for my lunch. I ordered Kyay Oh Si Chat - Pork and fried Tofu. The portion was enough for one person and the taste were on point. They also have bar and restaurant with live music band at night and they are really spacious as well. I recommend Myanmar people who are missing Myanmar food, please go there day time. For bar experience with live band, we all should try going there after 8pm.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've visited Yoe Yoe Lae Myanmar Restaurant several times, and it continues to be one of my favorite places in Bangkok for authentic Myanmar cuisine. The restaurant consistently delivers delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. During my recent visit, I ordered a traditional Myanmar fish paste dish served with fresh salad, fried tofu salad, chicken curry, and an avocado smoothie. Every dish was prepared with care and full of authentic flavors. The fish paste with salad was especially enjoyable, offering a rich and distinctive taste that reflects Myanmar's culinary tradition. The fried tofu salad was fresh, flavorful, and had a wonderful combination of textures. The chicken curry was tender, well-seasoned, and packed with comforting flavors that paired perfectly with rice. To finish the meal, the avocado smoothie was smooth, creamy, and refreshingly delicious. What keeps me coming back is the consistency in both food quality and service. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and professional, creating a pleasant dining experience every time. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and suitable for enjoying a meal with family and friends. I highly recommend Yoe Yoe Lae Myanmar Restaurant to anyone looking to experience authentic Myanmar food in Bangkok. The combination of traditional flavors, quality ingredients, and outstanding hospitality makes it a restaurant that I am always happy to revisit.
Amazing and authentic Myanmar food! The flavors are spot on—perfectly balancing savory, sour, and a nice spicy kick. The dining area is clean, spacious, and fully air-conditioned, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. The service is also fast and attentive. 5 stars!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had such a lovely meal at YOE YOE LAE - genuinely one of the most comforting and authentic Burmese meals I’ve had outside of home. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully made, with that perfect balance of richness and freshness you get in proper Burmese cooking. The pea fried dough stick was a standout - crispy, light, and honestly addictive. You can really tell they’ve stayed true to the cuisine - it’s not watered down or overly “adapted,” which I loved. It reminded us so much of home cooking, but elevated. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place has a really nice, relaxed but polished vibe — perfect for both casual meals and something a bit more special. If you’re in Bangkok and craving authentic Burmese food, this place is a must. Would 100% come back.
