Terrific stay in Bangkok. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to many tourist attractions. The hotel is impressive. Interesting design based on the original factory. The staff are very helpful. Noah and Oak at front of house were very attentive. For our first visit to Bangkok we could not be happier with the accomodation. One thing to note is the stairs. We were on the 3rd level. Felt for locals who are sleeping rough but the streets feel safe.
The House of Machine is stunning! What a great hotel, with excellent sized, very comfortable rooms and amazing decor. Walking in to the room, there were complimentary ear plugs, which was a concern, but the noise level was not an issue at all. The only issue really was the footsteps of the guest from the room above ours, not sure why they needed to be pacing up and down in a hotel room but there you go. Oak, the hotels manager and his staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and always on hand to help with anything we needed - also allowing us to keep our room for an extra hour past check out time before calling us a taxi to the airport. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the closest MRT station which isn't bad at all, there's a constant stream of taxi's and tuk tuk's on the main roads leading to the hotel for those that prefer. The hotel itself doesn't come with breakfast but they are lovely enough to offer, complimentary, toast with a range of jams and spreads, cereals and tea or coffee which is nice. Overall, it is a beautiful place to stay.
Our experience was X. He was unbelievably kind, warm, gracious and willing to go the extra mile for us, literally. At first uneasy about heading out into unknown territory, he swiftly locked the place up and walked us to his suggested restaurant. Having to leave at the ungodly hour of 3am to catch our flight, he stayed past his shift end at midnight until 3 to make sure our Grab arrived, brought down our luggage and made sure we had coffee and treats checking us out personally. The hotel is fantastic. You’d never know you were in the middle of Bangkok. We will be back! Thanks X, for everything 😊 Larisa and Ann Marie
It was staying at this industrial chic steampunk hotel with lots of metal and bricks with nice design and some whimsy. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was minor, but OK, and they were kind enough to get plant milk for me (I hope this becomes a normal daily option for guests). Good bathroom, great shower, comfortable bed. The windows unfortunately weren’t transparent, so it was impossible to see out the front, which would have been nice. The door wasn’t always easy to open or lock. Overall, a great stay and if those small issues are resolved, it would be even better.
I can’t say enough great things about House of Machine! The staff is impeccable and really care about making your stay the absolute best. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly, shown our room, and felt so welcome every-time we saw someone! The location is perfect to a lot of things in the area and the staff was extremely helpful with a map to be able to find things around town and recommendations. The inside of the hotel is absolutely beautiful and we stayed on the 4th floor with a little green terrace! After 34 long hours traveling from America, this was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it and will love the staff!
