Description

Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Bangkok. Heading to Kanchanaburi and visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (DonRak), where 1,740 prisoners of World War II rest. Pay your respects and learn about the history of the site, which was once a prisoners of war camp. Next, visit the JEATH War Museum. Discover photographs and illustrations narrating the living conditions of prisoners of war during the construction of the WWII death railway from 1942 to 1945. Some of the exhibits were donated by former POWs who survived. Then, take a longtail boat along the River Kwai to visit Khao Poon Cave, a limestone cave with fantastic stalagmites and stalactites. Explore the cave, which is partitioned into 9 rooms, and see a statue of King Rama V. Learn about the history of Kanchanaburi during World War II. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a floating restaurant on the river, overlooking the bridge.
