Description

Depart Bangkok at 7:30 am and head to Ayutthaya by coach. Your first stop at 9:00 am is the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which is beautifully decorated in both Chinese and European styles. Next, visit Wat Mahathat, Wat Na Phra Mane and Wat Lokayasutharam to explore the ruins of ancient palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. Wat Mahatat is known for its Head of the Buddha, which has a tree trunk and roots growing around it, while the temple at Wat Lokayasutharam hosts the biggest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya at a length of 42 meters and height of 8 meters.  At around 1.00 pm, board the White Orchid River Cruise at Wat Chong Lom Pier. On board, enjoy a delicious Thai or European lunch with desserts, seasonal fruits, coffee and tea. Sit back and relax as you cruise past the Chao Phraya River banks, enjoying views of famous Thai attractions such as Wat Arun, the Royal Grand Palace and Rama VIII Bridge.  The cruise will arrive back in Bangkok around 4.00 pm, from where you can take a comfortable transfer back to your hotel or enjoy the city in the evening.
