Description

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel situated in Bangkok at 8.30 AM. The first stop is Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. You will see a bunch of vendors in traditional clothes with wide-brimmed straw hats selling local food, exotic fresh fruits, and handmade products on the rowing boats. You will get to experience the canal by riding on a long-tail boat, while the guide outlines over one hundred years of the history of this floating market, how it is important to communities along the canal, and how these local people live their everyday lives. After the cruise, you will be free to discover and enjoy many different kinds of Thai food. Then, head to Bang Kung Temple which was built in the 18th Century. You will see ‘Ubosot’ (ordination hall) covered with large roots from four kinds of trees - Bodhi, Banyan, Krai, and Krang. These roots have helped this hall to stay stable until the present day. After this temple visit, you will continue to visit another amazing place call Mae Klong Railway Market or ‘Rom Hoop Market’ which means umbrella pull down market. This market is located along the Maeklong Railway's track. So, whenever a train drives through, all the shops will pull down their umbrellas and move back from the rails. Once the train has passed, everything goes back to normal. You can walk around this market, buy some fresh seafood, and experience a train coming through. The last stop is another popular floating market named Amphawa, where the guide will walk you around, let you try some good food, and take you on a boat trip where you are surrounded by the lights of many fireflies.
