Description

Start with pickup from your accommodation in Bangkok. Travel to Bangkok’s Flower Market to start the day, followed by a visit to Wat Phra Kaew as seen on the 1 Thai Baht coin. Also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, this sacred site is known for the huge Buddha statue made from jade, as well as panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline. Explore the nearby Royal Grand Palace, which was home to the royal family until the early 1900s. Next, board a riverboat to the next stop, Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. Nestled beside the river, this temple is featured on the 10 Thai Baht coin. Discover a monument decorated with colorful mosaic designs that make it a popular photo-op. Snap a shot or two before heading to lunch at a local restaurant for lunch, at your own expense. After lunch, travel to Wat Saket, also known as the Temple of the Golden Mount due to its large gleaming chedi which can be seen from miles away. This temple is illustrated on the 2 Thai Baht coin and offers spectacular views of the city. Finally, make your way to the final stop on the tour, Wat Benchamabophit.
