Everything was great overall. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Our room even had a bathtub, though I’m not sure if all room types include one, so it’s best to check with the hotel beforehand. There are several 7-Elevens nearby, which was really convenient. The BTS station is within walking distance, but due to the ongoing construction, the pedestrian walkway isn’t the nicest. Still, it’s manageable to walk. I’d recommend this place for those planning to use the BTS to get around. If you need an iron, you can request one during check-in and the receptionist will provide it for you.
The hotel was very good and gave me a pleasant experience during my 4 days in Bangkok. The price was also reasonable. But you know what? Even after returning home, my heart still can’t forget Thailand. I truly fell in love at first sight with a receptionist there. Every time I passed by the front desk, even for a brief moment, I would glance at her. She is very beautiful, but what attracted and impressed me even more was the way she worked—calm, dedicated, and her smile was truly lovely. Even her slightly cold expression completely captured my heart. I really wish I had the chance to talk to her. I planned to gather my courage and speak to her when I checked out, but things didn’t go as I had hoped—she wasn’t on duty at that time. I regret it so, so much. If by any chance you see this message, could you give me an opportunity to talk to you? I’m truly sorry, but because you are so beautiful, I took a photo of you. If you are still single, please give me a chance to get to know you.
I stayed in a Bangkok City Hotel for nine days, with my mother and while the city offered a vibrant experience, the dining options at the hotel were a significant concern. As a vegetarian, I was hoping to find some Indian food options, but my experience was quite disappointing. The breakfast selection at the hotel was extremely limited for vegetarians. The only Indian food available was bread butter, tea, coffee, milk, watermelon & cornflakes. This lack of variety made it difficult to start my day with a satisfying meal. In conclusion, while the hotel was comfortable in other aspects, the absence of diverse vegetarian Indian food, especially at breakfast, was a major drawback for me. Vegetarian travelers should consider this when choosing accommodations in Bangkok City Hotel. Thanks
I had a fantastic stay at Bangkok City Hotel! The location is absolutely perfect—5 stars for being right in the heart of the action and making it easy to get around the city. The rooms and service were both very good (solid 4 stars); the staff was helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable for my trip. Overall, it’s an excellent value for the price, and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a convenient and reliable spot in Bangkok!
A decent, competitively priced hotel in the city centre near Ratchathewi BTS station. The room was clean and spacious, we also loved the indoor pool on the fifth floor. The doors have no soundproofing but as our room was at the very end of the corridor, we were not bothered by any sounds from the common areas. The noise from the outside (there's road work in front of the hotel) was also minimal. The hotel offers breakfast with good variety but unfortunately there is no separate breakfast area apart from the lobby and the food was below my expectations for food in Thailand (but by no means bad or insufficient). For the price I got, I would definitely consider staying there again.
