The good: Location is great for Chinatown. Pool towels available at reception. Great views of the city from lobby balcony. The not so good: Budget room was dark and somewhat dingy with no natural light. Rooms had a slight musty/damp aroma. The laminate wooden flooring in the rooms was well worn and damaged in areas. The flooring in adjacent hallways looked grubby, perhaps stained through years of wear, but gave the appearance uncleanliness. A/C in one of the rooms made a whiny noise. Room servicing and cleaning wasn’t to the high level I’ve come to expect elsewhere in Bangkok. The pool lighting was defective so you had to swim in darkness in the evening.
Location good next to Chinatown. Old building but welcoming entrance staff. Cheaper rooms are a bit old and dated, comes with a view of the cement car park which is fun as there’s no daylight at all. Beds were so uncomfy and could feel all the springs… rooms were so loud too and could hear the hallway, people talking, people showering upstairs, people turning on the light switches next door…. Not great if you’re jet lagged and want a good nights sleep. Everyone was slamming the doors so could hear every door slam ever which is so loud. Staff don’t do much but provide ear plugs, looked at me like I was annoying them. The nicer rooms with windows looked fairly nicer. 4 star hotel is a bit of stretch lol. Pool was fairly nice. Didn’t seem like there was a rooftop bar or anything which could’ve been nice.
Stayed here while in bangkok, room was spacious, the staff are kind and friendly, is in a convenient location as near chinatown or can get grab quickly to anywhere else in city. Great view of city and can also see temples. We loved the pool beds such a nice detail. We had just got engaged a few days prior in the islands in Thailand and the staff decorated our room for us which was lovely and made our stay even more special. Would recommend.
We had a great stay here. The staff were really nice and helpful throughout. The pool area is a big highlight—you can swim and also just relax there. The view is amazing since it’s high up in the building, with a beautiful temple right next to it, which makes it feel really special. The rooms are nicely designed with a lovely Chinese touch, and the breakfast was great—huge variety and good quality, especially for the price. Perfect location if you want to stay in Chinatown.
Great place on the very edge of Chinatown that offers clean affordable rooms and great service. A 3 minutes walk to the mrt and steps from Yaowarat Rd, Song Wat Rd and Talat Noi. It has a great pool and west facing view deck overlooking a temple and Chinatown as well as great city views. The staff are super helpful and there are many to help. The rooms are dated and in need of upgrades but they are clean, well kept and spacious. I recommend a room with the city views. Since Chinatown is my favourite part of Bangkok we'll be back!
