Superb experience on a Friday night. This band plays on Fridays and they are really worth checking out. Excellent friendly service from the moment you walk in. They don't push you to spend more at the bar and the prices are reasonable. Cozy tables and fantastic music.
It was such an honor getting to see the amazing performances at Brown Sugar, one of the oldest jazz bars in Thailand. Had such a fun time with everyone, and the food was also delicious! We really hope to come back here in the future. Thank you to our newfound Thai friends for introducing us to this place 🩷
Nice venue. Had the pleasure of hearing the Bank Watchara Quartet last night - don't know who the female singer was but she had a beautiful voice. Spent a lovely evening there. Didn't eat there, so can't judge the food.
Great live music bar in what has become the coolest street in Bangkok for nightlife. Try to get their early if you want a table near the band, as with all the best music bars, the band takes up most the space. Good food, but a limited menu, can recommend the nachos and the shrimp, drinks are on the higher priced side but table service is friendly and very efficient. The band on Friday was Cinnamon - very talented 6 piece Thai band playing jazz, blues, pop and even for 'luk tung' to finish the night. Their version of the Amy song Back to Black was epic! Band on second floor, toilets (basic) on first floor down a steep wooden staircase - so don't get too drunk! Highly recommended for live music lovers.
We arrived a little later than planned and were seated next to the food elevator. we jumped seats as soon as we could! the band was fantastic, incredible musicians and performed many classics. Beer was cold (a little expensive but there is no cover charge, fair enough). I recommend Brown Sugar for a night out but eat before you go, our meals were the only disappointment.
