We had another amazing stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71! This was our second time staying here, and it definitely lived up to our expectations once again. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, the facilities are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around Bangkok. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We truly felt at home and will definitely be back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!
If you’re looking for a hotel with spotless, spacious rooms, an incredibly comfortable bed, and a great night’s sleep at a very reasonable price, this is the perfect place. We originally planned to stay for only two nights and then try another hotel, but we didn’t want to risk making the wrong choice. We were already so satisfied with our stay that we decided to extend it and enjoy the hotel until it was time to fly back to Indonesia. The hospitality of Mr. John and the entire team was truly outstanding. They were warm, friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. A special thanks to Mr. John, who made both the check-in and check-out process smooth and effortless. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Thailand. Highly recommended!
Thank you for an amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful. The amenities are amazing! Breakfast is amazing, and the staff is incredible. Even though it’s a bit far from the nearest train station, the hotel offers free shuttle service, which makes it pretty convenient. Thank you to Mr. John for a great service. He helped us book tickets to different shows and gave us recommendations for what to do and see in Bangkok. Incredible service, no complaints, and would definitely recommend!
Very nice hotel! Big thanks to John for being so kind and helpful throughout our stay 🙏 Overall, the hotel is clean, modern, and exactly like the photos. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. I had a really positive experience overall. The only slight downside was the location, as traffic can make it a bit frustrating getting into the heart of the city at busy times. Aside from that, everything was great. Thanks again to all the staff for their kindness 😊
Here is your polished Google Maps review — clear, balanced, and detailed: ⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) We stayed at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 in Bangkok from 10–13 February for three nights and paid approximately AUD $390 for a Premier King Room (including 10% off food and drinks, parking, and high-speed internet). Breakfast was not included. First, the location. This property is quite far from the main tourist hubs near the Chao Phraya River, Siam, and CentralWorld. For perspective, it is about 8.5 kilometres from Siam Station, which can take around 30 minutes in light traffic — but we experienced rides lasting close to an hour (or more) due to Bangkok traffic. Every kilometre counts in this city. If convenience and nightlife are your priorities, especially if you plan to party or explore central attractions frequently, I would recommend staying in Bang Rak, Lumphini, or Ratchathewi instead, as those areas offer easier metro connectivity. That said, Somerset offers good value for money. The room was spacious and well designed. It had: A welcoming lounge area with television, A study/work desk with plenty of charging ports, A very comfortable king-sized bed with additional charging points Full-length mirror and proper luggage space Beautiful wooden flooring The toiletries and shower amenities were good quality. However, the bathroom drainage system could definitely be improved, as water tended to spread, splash and not drain efficiently. The highlight of the property is the rooftop restaurant, Sol and Luna, located on the 15th floor. It offers beautiful sunset views and has an excellent reputation online. The rooftop setting is genuinely impressive. I would also recommend including breakfast in your booking, as finding good coffee nearby can be slightly difficult. There is a café on the lower ground floor, which is convenient and decent. Another major plus is the shuttle service provided by the hotel. The shuttle connects to key BTS stations such as Thong Lo and Ekkamai, which makes accessing the city centre much easier. The outdoor swimming pool on the 15th floor is also a nice addition. Service was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and staff were very friendly and professional. During check-out, they requested about five minutes to inspect the room for any damages, which was handled efficiently and respectfully. Overall, Somerset Sukhumvit 71 offers spacious rooms, good facilities, and strong value for money. The only real downside is the location and heavy traffic when travelling to central Bangkok. If you are comfortable relying on shuttle and BTS connections, this is a solid choice. Otherwise, staying closer to downtown may save you significant travel time. Would I stay again? Possibly — but only if I had fewer plans in the city centre.
