Baan Debtida was our last accommodation after six months in Southeast Asia, and easily one of the very best accommodations we have stayed in! Everything about this place is truly wonderful. The location is fantastic, easy walking distance from Khao San Road and the Grand Palace, and only around 20-25 minutes walk from Wat Pho and Wat Arun. The rooms are a good size, with fantastic air conditioning, clean, comfortable bed, quiet at night, water provided, and a great bathroom set-up. At the property entrance, swap shoes for slip ons which are taken off outside the room, a touch that I always enjoy. All this said, without a doubt the highlight of Baan Debtida is the service. The staff were absolutely amazing, and so accommodating at all times for us. They were so warm and welcoming on our arrival, always smiling and greeting us as we came and went from the property. Breakfast each morning was freshly cooked, with a main dish, tea/coffee, fruit, and chilled water. When we checked out, we had about five hours before we needed to head to the airport for our flight. There was space to leave our bags for that time while we took a final walk around the city. When we returned, a little hot and sweaty, the team put on the fans and brought us some glasses of water without any sort of prompt. We were able to shower, and were provided towels, and change before heading on our way. This quality service was part of the reason we booked here, but Baan Debtida exceeded all our expectations! We had such an exceptional stay here. The guesthouse is so beautiful and extremely tranquil inside. The room is large with a huge bed, good size bathroom and plenty of storage. There is a fridge and super cold Aircon. The breakfast is such a great addition and is super tasty. We had eggs, curry and fruit. They think of everything here, providing slippers for inside, umbrellas if it's raining and coupons for the boat tours. We had a very late flight, so were able to leave our bags and even had a shower before leaving for the airport. The owner is lovely and the other members of staff are so helpful. The location couldn't be better. Just a 5 minute walk to Khao San Road and lots of restaurants, but it's so quiet here at night.
This is a great place to stay at Bangkok if you want to be away from the chaos of the city. It’s tucked away in a quiet lane that’s inaccessible by car but just few meters from the main road. Room is big and clean. Service is great and the hosts are very friendly, always ready to help. Provided breakfast as well. You can get a grab to nearest metro or to the places you want to see. Good value for money.
During out stay in Bangkok, we went to Baan Debtida upon my sister’s recommendation. It is without a doubt the best hôtel we went to in Thailand, maybe ever in the world. The staff is exceptionnaly nice and mindful. The bathroom equipment is Grohe and all brand new with very fast and usable hot water. The included breakfast is varied, tasteful and generous. The hôtel is small (4-5 rooms) and beautifully decorated with taste and a Thai flair. Is is very well located, so much so that you can explore the neighborhood walking. For your arrival, you’ll only have to walk about 100 feet from a main street to the entrance. It is also very secure with a keycard to enter the premises, the building and the room. The AC works very well. A smoking area is even available inside the hôtel’s premises which is a big plus in Thailand if you are addicted to nicotine. Thank you again and we’ll for sure be back there when we come to Bangkok again.
A true oasis of calm in the heart of the city — incredibly quiet despite the lively surroundings. From the moment you arrive, you feel warmly welcomed. The lovingly family-run hotel is set in a beautiful traditional Thai house with a tropical garden and is truly something special. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable, and the air conditioning pleasantly quiet. Perfect! — We would happily return and recommend this hotel.
