Situated within the Walpole Building, the Cabochon Hotel is a sophisticated and impressive hotel without the heavy price tag. The hotel exudes class and understated luxury and brings to life the history of Bangkok in its unique and vintage Oriental setting.
The hotel covers two floors with additional luxury in-the-sky apartments. Within the hotel's ivory coloured walls, the appliances of modern every day life are mixed with the aged old design and décor in a happy marriage of timelessness.
Each room is equipped with WIFI Internet access, air conditioning, cable TV, side tables, writing desks with en-suite bathrooms decked with marble flooring.
The hotel has its own club, the Joy Luck Club as well as the Thai Lao Yeh restaurant, featuring local Thai cuisine as well as dishes influenced by near-by Chiang Mai, E-San and Laos. The restaurant is decorated by old timber saved from a Thai village. It has two VIP rooms and can serve up to 10-12 diners in them.
On the roof of the hotel is the Rooftop Pool with dramatic views of the city's skyscrapers and skyline.
